The Water and Wastewater Department is planning watermain work on County Road 3 between Reddick and Ridley streets overnight Dec. 16 -17.
Repairs are to take place overnight, beginning Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 9 p.m., with an expected completion time of 2 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17. County Road 3 between Reddick and Ridley streets will be reduced to one lane of traffic in the construction area for the duration of work. Traffic control will be in place.
The repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on County Road 3 in that area and including all customers located within Prince Edward Square, will experience an interruption to service while construction is taking place, followed by intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water for a short time once construction is complete.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
