The first phase of rehabilitation of Picton’s Main Street is set to begin Monday with full road closure to vehicles from Bridge Street to Ross Street. (Town Hill to Regent Theatre).
The project involves replacement of water mains and sewer services, new sidewalks, curbs, lighting and crosswalks. Shops remain open and pedestrian traffic will be allowed.
Meanwhile, County residents who work and play in Belleville are reminded they’ll run into major delays if they head in over the Bay Bridge.
Lane closures are to begin Monday. Dundas Street West will be restricted to two lanes between the Bay Bridge Road and Coleman Street, expected to result in significant delays.
Monday was also scheduled as a maintenance day for the Glenora. However, the ferry will be in service Monday, April 4 as the planned maintenance is now set to occur at a later date.
