Construction work on Elizabeth Street

The Water and Wastewater Department plans to work on Elizabeth Street between Mary and Picton Main street on Thursday, Feb. 19.
Repairs are to begin at approximately 8 a.m., with an expected completion time of 6 p.m.
Elizabeth Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic. However, further traffic disruptions may be required, including closing this section of Elizabeth Street to local traffic only.
Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are advised to follow the direction of flaggers on scene or use alternate routes if possible.
Construction is being completed in the sidewalk area on the west side of the street. The sidewalk will remain closed to pedestrian traffic in the construction area.
There will be no disruptions to water service for the customers in the area.
