County athletes Pitch, Hit and Run to next competition

Participants at this year’s Pitch, Hit and Run event at Wellington’s Field of Dreams diamonds will advance to the next level of competition May 26th in Quinte West.
Pitch, Hit and Run provides boys and girls with a challenge to compete, free of charge, with their baseball skills.
Four age ranges get the chance to advance through four levels of events culminating in a team competition at the Rogers Centre during the MLF All-Star Week.
In the 7-8 category, Noalan Thompson won all-round and pitch champion. Braydon Tweedy was top hitter and Isaac Morris, top runner.
In the 9-10 group, Cohen Bedore was all-round winner and was first in the hit and run sections. Caleb Harvey and Tommy Johnston tied for pitching.
In the 11-12 age group, Kayden Insley was all-around champion winning both the pitch and hit events Jordan Doxtator was top runner.
In the 13-14 group, James Werkhoven was all-around winner gaining first in both hitting and running. Dolan Insley was first in pitching.
The Quinte West section event is set for May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Don Ogden Park.
