County construction in August valued at just over $12.2 million

Construction in August in Prince Edward County saw 108 building permits issued on projects valued at just over $12.2 million.

“Construction costs for this year to date are $114,716,003 for 671 permits issued in 2021,” stated Andy Harrison, the County’s Chief Building Official. “While the construction costs for the same time last year was $7,408,686 with 85 permits issued, the total construction value from Jan. 1 to Aug. 31, 2020 was $64,290,673 with 514 permits issued.”
