County diabetes education team earns Outstanding Partnership Award

The Prince Edward Family Health Team’s Diabetes Education program earned the Outstanding Partnership Award presented by the Canadian Diabetes Association at its regional annual meeting in Kingston recently.
The PEFHT team has provided diabetes education programming in Prince Edward County since 2007. Team members Suzanne Staley, Nurse Educator and dietitians Laurel Hoard and Kimberly Reid were nominated for their work and leadership promoting the international Blue Light Campaign, National Project Redial and the local event, Going the Distance for Diabetes.
