County kids will Pitch, Hit and Run at sectionals

Prince Edward County will be well represented at the sectionals competition as winners of the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run competition advance this weekend to Port Hope.
“The annual event had a great turn out of competitors,” said co-organizer Tanya Doxtator. “The weather was great, food plentiful and participation high.” Pitch Hit and Run was hosted at the Wellington Field of Dreams, by the Prince Edward County Minor Baseball Association.
The boys 7/8 age group had an exciting four-way tie for All-Around Champion in addition to a four-way tie for pitching.

2) Nicholas McGrayne
3) Hayden Evans
4) Cameron Pero
Cole Lavender was the Individual Running Champ
In the girls 7/8 Age Group Rebecca McHugh was All-Around Champion with individual event wins also.
In the boys 9/10 group, All-Around Champion was Jacob Doxtator with a win also for Individual Pitching High Score.
Chase Lavender took the Running title and Ben Wells took the individual Hitting title.
Girls 9/10: Libby Wallwork took the All-Around Champ and the Pitching and Running titles.
Boys 11/12: Johnathon McHugh took the All-Around Title for the age group. There was a tie for the Pitching title between Johnathon McHugh and Jett Alexander. Daniel Seguin took the Running title; Braedan Kelly the Hitting title.
Girls 11/12: Sarah Rolston was the All-Around Champ in addition to winning the Individual Running title. Monica Lindsay took the Individual Pitching title.
Boys 13/14: Cole Norton was the group’s All-Around Champion in addition to Pitching and Running champ. Kevin Wilson took the Individual Hitting title.
Girls 13/14: Shae Lynn Simpson was the All-Around Champion as well as the Hitting and Running champ. Mallory Lindsay took the Individual Pitching title.
