Is there an end in sight?
“After two years of vigorous anti-wind litigation in Ontario, anti-wind activists have failed to satisfy any court or tribunal that wind energy development in accordance with government standards will cause serious harm,” says environmental lawyer Dianne Saxe, in Slaw, Canada’s online legal magazine.
In a post this week, she explains renewable energy approvals in Ontario, Ian Hanna’s first case challenging REAs and other interesting cases and challenges including those to unfold in 2013, including Gilead Power’s Ostrander Point wind project, Northland Power’s Manitoulin Island wind farm, and Capital Power’s Port Dove and Nanticoke Project, and three new appeals filed January 4.

Why don’t you stop the turbines all together. So sick and tired of hearing about it. There are better things in life we can worry about. There are to many greedy people out there that want them so they can profit.
Yes, by all means read the full post of Dianna Saxe, a well known supporter of wind turbines, which does not give the full picture. Read also the comments following her post by two other lawyers, both County residents, to get a very different and more balanced perspective. And yes – there is an end in sight. Given the professional experts from around the world, other experts, and almost two dozen people who have actually suffered health problems caused by turbines – all of whom will give evidence at the pending Gilead appeal – that appeal is most definitely winnable by both APPEC and PECFN. Please support them financially and thus do your part in defeating the unforgivable Ostrander Point approval.
