Two more deaths related to COVID-19

FEB. 28: Ahead of the March 11 three-year anniversary of the declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hastings Prince Edward Counties Public Health (HPEPH) has attributed three more deaths, now 112 total, to the virus.
The HPEPH dashboard notes 14 people are in hospital, related to COVID-19; three require intensive care.
It reports 92 new, and 103 active high-risk setting cases. There are three outbreaks in high-risk settings ongoing – two in Belleville, one in Centre Hastings.
FEB. 14 – Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has reported two more deaths related to COVID-19 – now 109 deaths in the region since the pandemic was declared world-wide on March 11, 2020.
There are 17 people in hospital with the virus; two require intensive care.
Public Health reports 122 new, and 137 active high-risk setting cases since its report last week. There are five outbreaks in high-risk settings, including in Prince Edward County at a congregate living facility and at West Lake Terrace long term care home. The other three are at Belmont LTC, Quinte Gardens and at QHC BGH on Quinte 6.
COVID-19 vaccination clinics are being held at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street, Picton):
Tuesday, Feb. 14: 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 28: 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 28: 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Walk-in appointments for the above clinics are available to all people over the age of 6 months.
FEB. 7 – There are 15 people in the region’s hospitals, related to COVID-19 with one person requiring intensive care. There was a new outbreak declared Feb. 3 at Belleville General Hospital (on Quinte 6).
The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health weekly report also notes two of seven outbreaks are in Prince Edward County at West Lake Terrace and a congregate living facility.
This week’s update shows 91 new and 104 active high-risk setting COVID-19 cases.
