Dolphins make a splash at long course meet

Quinte Dolphins swimmers are making a splash all over the province.
Eight swimmers, accompanied by head coach Jim Anfield, made the team proud during an invitational swim meet held in the long course salt water pool on the weekend at McMaster University in Hamilton.
15-year-old Morgan Clark captured first place in the 50 freestyle event. Clark was also awarded second place in the 50 fly, 50 back, and 100 back as well as sixth place in the 200 IM. Additionally, Clark set new club records in the 50 free, 50 fly, and 100 free in the 15 and over category.
Eight-year-old Yelena Hudgin won fourth place in the 100 back, fifth place in the 50 back, and sixth place in both the 100 breast and the 50 free. She also broke five existing records in the eight an under category at her home club.
10-year-old Annika Hudgin placed third in 200 backstroke, fourth in 200 breast and sixth in 200 IM.
Moriah Mossey, 11, Mina Hudgin, 12, and Alex Nickson, 12, all posted top 10 finishes in the 50 breast stroke while Abby Taylor, 14, posted a top 10 finish in the 50 backstroke and Faith Elsbury, 14, posted a top 10 finish in the 200 breast.
Morgan Clark, Kelli-Anne Maycock and Annika Hudgin qualified to compete at the Eastern Ontario Long Course Championships (EOSA) this weekend at the Nepean Sportsplex in Ottawa.
