CHEERS! from Quinte Conservation, to Union Gas for its donation to support education programs.
“We’re excited about the education programs we will be able to offer our communities with this donation and pleased to continue this partnership with Union Gas,” said Maya Navrot, Quinte Conservation’s Education Co-ordinator. “This summer we will be hosting a series of Family Nature Days across our watershed with a focus on learning about local wildlife.”
Phil Langlois, Union Gas Utility Services Construction Manager, who presented the $2,000 to Quinte Conservation, says the Family Nature Days will help educate children and their families on the importance of preserving their natural surroundings.”
Quinte Conservation has been working in partnership with Union Gas to deliver education programs to local children such as Stream of Dreams and Yellow Fish Road for the past four years.
Wild About Wildlife Family Nature Days are offered on select days in July and August.

Sorry for the cynicism, but I smell a gas leak.
A company like Union Gas doesn’t donate money to an organization like Quinte Conservation unless they have done or are about to do something very damaging.
Hint: Union Gas just applied to the County for a noise by-law exemption permit while they bury a gas pipeline under the Bay of Quinte.
