Dr. Ken Eccles, left, was recently honoured at a retirement party held at Hillier Creek Estates Winery. Dr. Amber Hayward Stewart, who has taken over Dr. Eccles’ practice is shown with Ken and Dr. Earle Taylor who was the general surgeon at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years. About 100 of Dr. Eccles’ colleagues, along with retired and present hospital staff, were there to wish him a fulfilling retirement. He has served the community as a family practitioner for 42 years of which approximately 30 of those years he was also the anesthetist at PECMH. He has now decided to limit his practice to his golf game and chasing that elusive “hole in one”.
