With the Picton Fair being postponed for a second year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Prince Edward Agricultural Society hosted its second annual drive through event at the fairgrounds.
More than 1,500 people cruised through the fairgrounds to take in agricultural-themed displays and enjoy favourite fair foods.
Admission was free of charge, but donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Picton United Church Food Bank and the Wellington Storehouse Food Bank were encouraged.
Donations raised $5,000 and saw $2,000 donated to the PECMHF’s Back the Build Campaign for a new hospital in Prince Edward County. Each food bank received $1,500.
The donation brings the society’s cumulative giving total to PECMHF to $14,705 over a 13-year partnership with the Agricultural Society.
