PEC OPP Community Safety Officer Aaron Miller was conducting radar patrols Monday morning, and at approximately 10:20, stopped a vehicle travelling 158 km/h on County Road 49.
The driver had their vehicle seized for seven days, and now has a date to attend court this fall to explain why they were travelling nearly twice the posted speed limit.

I too thank the officer – this driver was going almost twice the speed limit! Now try to imagine the same kind of scenario with drivers going 100km or more through Northport – more than twice the speed limit??!! It happens far too often – and while it may sound like an old line – someone is going to get killed.
Thank you, Officer Aaron Miller, for your service to this community and your efforts to hold those people accountable who have no regard for our safety. My family really appreciates it.
