Easy to FOCUS on lifelong learning

To provide the skills necessary for individuals to achieve their personal, educational and career goas, Loyalist College presents three new Fall 2012 FOCUS Lifelong Learning brochures, which highlight more than 850 Continuing Education courses, certificates and diplomas. Beginning in September, the programs will be offered through flexible distance studies, on campus in Belleville and Bancroft, and in the communities of Brighton, Picton, Stirling, Trenton and Tweed.
“It’s never too late to learn or explore new career options,” said Loyalist College President Maureen Piercy. “Our Continuing Education students are of all ages and they come to us from many different backgrounds. While their objectives vary, they share a common desire to develop personally or advance professionally. At Loyalist, we do everything we can to cultivate their determination and help them to succeed.”
Continuing Education offerings include:
· General interest courses focused on: Arts, Ceramics, Computers, Culinary, Fitness, Floral, Kids & Teens, Languages, Technology and Photography.
· Certificate programs on subjects such as: Accounting Techniques, Business Techniques, Computer Fundamentals, Dementia Studies, Home Inspection, OBC Inspector’s Preparation, Palliative Care, Personal Support Worker, and Wilderness Experience.
· Diploma programs including: Developmental Services Worker, Early Childhood Education, Office Administration, Social Service Worker, and Veterinary.
Funding opportunities may be available through a range of programs including Second Career, First Nations, WSIB and OSAP.
