Emergency construction on Wellington Main
Administrator | Dec 31, 2019 | Comments 0
The Water and Wastewater Department will spend New Year’s Day repairing a watermain break on Wellington Main at the intersection of Wharf Street.
Emergency repairs are expected to begin at approximately 7 a.m., with an expected completion time of 5 p.m. the same day.
Wellington Main at the intersection of Wharf Street will be reduced to one lane. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
