Expect to see military training in County and surrounding areas throughout June

Residents in the vicinity of Prince Edward County and Belleville may see personnel from the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command conducting training from June 7 to 23.
Captain Nadine Abou Rjeily states some of the training will also be occurring in the rural areas surrounding Campbellford, Colborne and Stirling.
“Residents may notice military vehicles, aircraft, as well as uncrewed aerial vehicles, uniformed and non-uniformed military personnel with weapons and hear noises associated with explosives and personal weapons.”
The captain states all efforts are being made to minimize disruption.
“The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command is extremely thankful for the support and understanding of the communities within which it conducts valuable training in order to remain operationally focused and able to serve the national interest.”
