Expect traffic delays through construction on Hwy 33 into Picton

Construction at the Picton LBCO intersection affects traffic from Main, Lake and Talbot streets.
Lane reductions and traffic delays are to be expected along Highway 33 heading into Picton.
Construction crews have begun installing new sanitary sewers, storm sewers, concrete curbs and gutter, as well as asphalt paving along Highway 33 in Picton, from Cold Storage Road west to the Millennium Trail.
Lane reductions will direct traffic into eastbound lanes, with one lane of travel in each direction, causing traffic delays.
In addition, construction crews will also begin work on a new roadway opposite the entrance to the No Frills grocery store.

I don’t pretend to know what is taking place on Lake St. outside the LCBO – wasn’t this same stretch under construction last summer too? Nothing like standing in line on a +30C day, breathing in both gas fumes and dust. Also the traffic flow and delays are a little chaotic.
Let’s hope the work on #33 is conducted in a less haphazard way than the perpetual construction on Lake Street by the Picton LCBO!
