School buses in PEC cancelled Monday

DEC. 12 – All school buses are cancelled in the Tri-Board jurisdiction Monday due to the snowy weather’s poor driving conditions. Public schools will remain open. Parents and guardians who take their children to school will also be responsible for picking them up at the end of the school day.
DEC. 11 – A winter travel advisory is in effect for Sunday night through to Monday morning as significant snowfall is expected right along the Lake Ontario shoreline.
Light snow is expected to become heavier Sunday night with 15 to 20 cm of snow in Prince Edward County expected by early Monday morning. Environment Canada suggests the snow will likely become mixed with rain and begin to taper off by noon.
A special weather statement has been issued for Prince Edward County, Belleville, Quinte West, Northumberland County, Kingston, and other areas.
