Fashion for a Cause springs into action with funds for hospital foundation

The Dressing Room and Friends presented Fashion for a Cause show and auction – in support of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation Thursday at the Wellington and District Community Centre. The Dressing Room owner Lori Foster hosted fundraising shows for 14 years — the last eight as the Fashion for a Cure — and raised more than $50,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. After a two-year break while she set up her new store in Rossmore, the show was back on her must-do list and more than 200 people in attendance showed their support for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation through a silent auction and a live auction conducted by Manson and Lori Slik. 95.5 fm morning host Mark Philbin was emcee.
