Fire hydrant flushing in Picton
Administrator | Nov 29, 2016 | Comments 0
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue will be flushing two fire hydrants in Picton on Tuesday, Nov. 29th. This may result in periods of reduced water pressure and coloured water for nearby residents.
The hydrants are located on Hill Street near Fairfield Street and at Bockus Street near Hill Street. The hydrants are to be flushed between 9am and 12pm.
This maintenance is not expected to impact water quality; however residents living in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
