Fire on Albert Street, Picton

Fire caused significant damage to a residence on Albert Street in Picton Tuesday night.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Feb. 20.
Crews from Picton Station 1 extinguished the fire and hot spots and remained on scene for several hours.
The cause of the fire is not currently known.
The single-storey home on Albert Street sustained significant fire damage. There were no injuries or pets harmed in the fire. A PECFR Fire Inspectors is investigating the fire to determine the origin and cause. The fire loss is estimated at $500,000.
