Fireworks found at multiple small grass fires

Prince Edward County OPP is assisting the County Fire Department to investigate multiple small grass fires overnight Sunday on County Roads 4, 5 and Kingsley Road.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue crews located fireworks. The investigation continues.
“Fireworks can and will start fires,” said Robert Rutter, incoming fire chief. “Be extremely cautious when dealing with them and avoid setting fireworks off on property other than yours.”
