Eighty U4 soccer players showed off the skills they’ve learned during a new program offered by volunteer coaches with the Prince Edward County Soccer Association’s new program.
For the first time, PECSA ran the under four program for eight weeks on Saturday mornings as an introduction to soccer. It wrapped last Saturday with eight teams of 10 players on the fields at Johnson Street in Picton.
PECSA introduced referees for the final day of the program, to give the young athletes a taste of what soccer would be like during next year’s season.
Tim Hortons Timbits sponsors the age group. The Prince Edward Dairy Producers donated a chocolate milk for each participant, and PECSA provided cookies from Farmhouse Eats.
