Former PEC resident killed in truck crash in New York

A former Prince Edward County resident died in New York State Wednesday morning.
Travis Lambert, 37, of Belleville, died in the town of Schuyler, just east of Syracuse. New York State Troopers report his tractor trailer hit the shoulder, then struck the guard rail and overturned. The investigation is continuing.
Lambert, who grew up in Prince Edward County leaves his wife Janine, and two young daughters, Hannah and Nettie.
A Go Fund Me account has been set up by long-time friends Laura and Matthew Hedges, to help the family.
“We started this page to raise money for his wife and daughters,” said Laura. “They will use donations towards the daily and monthly expenses that do not halt during times of grieving and the funeral expenses. Any unused funds will be put into a trust account for Hannah and Nettie.”
Funeral arrangements are to be announced.
