Cycle tourism is big business and growing not only here but across Ontario and worldwide. Those with an interest in tourism or have a business that would like to attract more cyclists should consider attending the upcoming Welcome Cyclists Workshop for Prince Edward County and Bay of Quinte areas Thursday, Feb. 24 – 1pm to 3pm at the Picton Town Hall, 2 Ross St., (above the Fire Hall).
Free to attend, the informative two-hour workshop offers businesses an opportunity to join a growing provincial network and to connect with both the increasing number of cycle tourists and local cyclists across Ontario.
Accommodations, cafes, restaurants, tourist attractions, and other cycling-related business owners, managers and staff are encouraged to attend to learn more on who cycle tourists are and what services and amenities will attract them to local businesses.
The workshop series is by Transportation Options, a non-profit organization in partnership with Province of Ontario and regional event partner Taste The County.
