ALL OPEN AIR BURNING PERMITTED — The burn ban has been lifted after all criteria have been met for open air burning.
MARCH 31: Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue (PECFR) is restricting all burning in the municipality due to dry conditions.
A full burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including brushfire, campfires, and burn barrels.
The Fire Chief evaluates weather and ground conditions to determine the necessity of a burn ban. When conditions improve, the ban will be updated.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue reminds residents that a burn permit is required for all open air burning. The burn status is available at any time by calling 1.833.376.1011 or by visiting the County of Prince Edward burn permit site.
