Fun for all ages at Farm Family Day

Looking for a ‘needle’ in a haystack.
County Farm Centre and the Prince Edward Holstein Club united to host a Farm Family Fun Day at the County Farm Centre, Saturday featuring fun for all ages and ending with a Twilight dinner hosted by the Holstein Club.
The County’s Cattlemen association last week raised $15,000 at their prime rib dinner and fundraising auction. On top of that, they presented $4,000 to the Hub Family and Child Care Centre for their food box program and $1,500 to the Prince Edward Family Health Team for maintenance of the cardiac rehab centre they helped to fund with a $70,000 contribution in 2012.
They also presented $1,500 to the Prince Edward County 4H Beef Club and $1,050 to 4H to purchase a new milkshake machine, used at various fundraisers. Earlier they presented $4,000 to Wellington’s Storehouse Foodbank to purchase protein for food boxes.
