Good news in search at Sandbanks for missing child

There’s a good news ending to a frantic search for a missing seven year old at Sandbanks Provincial Park beach Friday about 5 p.m.
Ambulance, fire, police, park wardens and every volunteer available raced to the scene around what is known as the “dog beach” area of the park. They had a brief description and spread out in all directions – not knowing if the boy was in the water, on land, in the treed areas, or wandering along the campsite roads.
As well as the ATVs combing the area, an 8 Wing Trenton Hercules aircraft, coincidentally on training nearby, flew above the scene within minutes.
Beach visitors quickly formed a human chain in the water.
In less than an hour, the boy was found, in good health, having happily wandered off along the beach.
