Half and Half-a-Half Marathon 100 per cent fun

Whether they ran the half, or half of the half, participants in this year’s event are fully satisfied with their efforts.

The Wellington Women’s Half and 1/2 a Half running event was designed for the runner or walker who wants to enjoy the experience of the event. The meaning behind the slogan “It’s a girl thing!” was seen on the beautiful course just outside of Wellington last Saturday morning.

Participants in both of the races were were surrounded by women of all shapes, ages and abilities – all with the same common goal of achieving a healthy active life.  Each participant had to make personal sacrifices and arrange crazy schedules to meet the training required to walk or run the distance.

Everyone was a winner as all entrants received a special one-of-a-kind finisher necklace designed by Caroline Shuttle of Elements Glass Studio.
