Hats off to Hospital Auxiliary Crafters and OPP for keeping County kids warm

The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Craft Group continues its annual tradition of crafting items for the Keep Kids Warm campaign. This week the group presented 150 hats and mittens to the Prince Edward County OPP detachment which runs the program along with community partners at the Belleville Police Services, OPP – Central Hastings OPP Detachment, the Royal Canadian Legion Marmora Branch #237 and the Township of Stirling-Rawdon.

The Keep Kids Warm program assists people in need to receive new outerwear for children, newborn to 12 years of age. Registration for this year is complete. Pick up dates are Nov. 6-8 at the PEC OPP detachment.

    The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Craft Group and The OPP have provided this invaluable service for our community for many years. I recall using the service when Tracy and I were just starting our Family, That time of year was a struggle and those Folks helped to make it a whole lot easier. So Thank You, all of You.
