Program & Design Coordinator
Hospice Prince Edward provides palliative support to our neighbours and their families who are facing life limiting illnesses. H.P.E. also provides support to help cope with the death of a loved one and to rediscover life. www.hospiceprinceedward.ca
H.P.E. has an immediate opening for a one year contract position for a Program & Design Coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
* undertaking of a needs and community capacity study
* designing a recruitment process to expand the existing volunteer base
* delivery of an ongoing volunteer recruitment and management system
* assist in designing and facilitating a multiparty co-ordinated community end-of-life services project aimed at creating a seamless referral and service delivery system for end-of-life care in PEC.
* development of programs to increase education and awareness of End-of-Life services in the community.
* development and implementation of a community wide fund development and a plan of action strategy
* assisting with an implementation strategy for a residential hospice program in an integrated care environment.
Qualifications should include several years experience and knowledge of volunteer community based organizations, programs and services along with fund development, social media and marketing skills. A sound knowledge of community palliative and grief services would be recommended. Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
