CHEERS, to high tea fundraising for the Back the Build campaign for a new hospital in Picton, from the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Staff and members of the PECMHF board and Back the Build campaign cabinet experienced high tea, County style, at the Black River Bed and Breakfast on Morrison Point in Milford.
Black River B&B hosts Brian Musselwhite and Conrad Biernacki are offering the high tea experience with tips supporting the campaign.
“We all have taken time for tea in the afternoon. Tea is a popular and relaxing break in the day that is cherished by the people around the world,” said Briar Boyce, PECMH foundation senior development officer. “With over 70 different types of tea to choose from, our hosts treated us to a wonderful selection of finger sandwiches, scones, shortbreads and other fanciful delicacies, with many of the ingredients sourced locally in the County.”
Diners also get a look at the history of tea and ceramics through the 18th and 19th centuries.
Call 613-476-7346 for more information or to reserve. The tea is open to groups of six to eight people and costs $45 + hst per guest.
