Hikers, strollers, ramblers, and wanderers are all welcome to join friends of Hospice Prince Edward Sunday, May 4th to raise funds for the community residential hospice, located at 40 Downes Avenue in Picton.

Now in its third year in The County, and 12th year nationally, Hike for Hospice Prince Edward will be held at the Prince Edward Community Centre and progress through the residential streets of Picton. Participants join thousands of people across the country honouring National Hospice Palliative Care Week May 4-10.

The pledge-based family event raises funds to support people in the County, and their loved ones, who are living with a palliative illness. All funds raised remain in the County to help Hospice Prince Edward provide compassionate care to those facing the end-of-life journey, as well as a wide range of grief and bereavement programs and services to families and individuals of all ages, free of charge.

To support or participate in Hike for Hospice, or for more information, contact Judy Fraser at 613 645-4040, extension 205, or email jfraser@hospicepe.com. Also visit www.hospiceprinceedward.ca.
