Smile! Tim Hortons annual Smile Cookie Campaign raised $6,282 for the new hospital campaign under way for Prince Edward County.
“This year’s campaign was a tremendous success again and it wouldn’t have been possible without the loyal support of our customers and the dedicated staff who worked hard during Smile Cookie week to create those 6,282 smiles,” said Paul Massey, owner of the Picton and Wellington Tim Hortons.
The campaign ran for one week, Sept. 16-22 with both the Picton and Wellington’s restaurants designating proceeds of $1 chocolate chunk cookie sales to PECMH Foundation for the sixth consecutive year. There were 829 more cookies sold in 2019 than in 2018.
This year’s Smile Cookie campaign puts Tim Hortons cumulative giving total to $35,567.20.
“We are all smiles to receive this donation from Tim Hortons,” said Shannon Coull, Executive Director of the PECMH Foundation. “The commitment the Massey family and Tim Hortons staff has made to our County hospital over the past six years is a sweet treat we continue to savour. We also wish to thank all the customers who supported the Smile Cookie campaign this year for investing in the healthy future of Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital. Thank you for helping us Back the Build!”
