Go On Air for Health Care Thursday – Call 613-968-2042 today

The PECMH Foundation received an $1,100 gift from Lolly and Karen Wilkinson, of West Lake. They sold wood in front of their house from May 1 until July 31 and directed the proceeds to the Digital Mammography Campaign currently under way at PECMH. Lolly and Karen, in turn, thank Dave and Sally Wight and Pat Rodney-Holbrook who donated the wood bags for their endeavour.

Phone or visit to show your support for your local hospital during today’s On Air for Health Care event, hosted from the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club.

Quinte Health Care (QHC) Picton, Belleville and Trenton foundations have teamed up with all eight local radio stations to raise funds for much needed medical equipment for patients in Prince Edward County and the Quinte area.

Supporters are invited to see volunteers in action throughout the day answering phones and taking pledges. You can also listen live to any local station between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. to hear how the hospitals are making a difference each and every day.

There will be lots of action on site including a putting challenge, Wii Golf tournament, Resuscitation Andy demonstration, and visitors to the golf and country club will have a chance to dunk local celebrities into a dunk tank. The Wellington Dukes and Trenton Golden Hawks will be making an appearance between 1-3 p.m. to answer phones and go on air.

To pledge, call 613-968-2QHC (2042) or visit www.onairforhealthcare.ca
