The Ministry of Education has announced that all elementary and secondary students enrolled for in-person learning in the Hastings and Prince Edward region will return to school Monday, Jan. 25.
Students enrolled in virtual school will continue their regular online studies. Transportation to schools also resumes Monday.
Hastings Prince Edward District School Board Director Sean Monteith is expected to send a letter to families Thursday.
Seven public health regions will see students return to school, including Hastings Prince Edward, Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington.
The schools were closed by the province in late December for in-person learning. The closure was extended to Jan. 25 for students in southern Ontario.
People with questions are asked to contact their school or email information@hpedsb.on.ca.
