The Korean-Canadian Community Centre of Great Eastern Ontario has been donating net proceeds of Nevada ticket sales to the Hospital Foundation since 1998. The tickets are sold at Thorne’s Variety in Picton and to date have raised almost $70,000. Store owners James and Annie Kim recently presented an additional $2,208 which will be directed to the digital mammography and ultrasound campaign currently under way at PECMH. “This type of community support is vital as the government does not provide funds to purchase medical equipment,” said Anna Marie Ferguson, executive director of the PECMH Foundation.
