Lane and road closures are now in effect for the Picton Heights reservoir watermain project.
One lane of County Road 22 will be closed between London Avenue and Old Church Street through August and September.
Temporary traffic control and lights will be in place at both intersections during the lane closure.
In addition, Old Church Street is closed (local traffic only) until Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Drew Harrison Haulage is commencing work on the Picton Heights reservoir watermain improvements and illuminated sidewalk project.
Construction work for the installation of new watermain on County Road 22 (Church Street) between Union Street and London Avenue began July 2 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
The project includes the following work:
Installation of 1.2 km of new watermain from Union Street to the Picton Heights reservoir.
Extension of the existing sanitary sewer, storm sewer upgrades and replacement of the watermain on Old Church Street.
Construction of a new 1 km concrete sidewalk with street lighting connecting the London Avenue sidewalk to the sidewalk along the frontage of Macaulay Heritage Park. The new sidewalk includes two new signalized pedestrian crosswalks.
