Winter birds, decoupage, crafts among fun coming up at the County libraries

Members of the South Shore Joint Initiative are signed up to join Picton’s Saturday Storytime on Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m. to share all about winter birds.

Learn decoupage
Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Wellington Branch Library, use discarded book pages to decoupage. Bring an item to decoupage, or choose from some available. No experience required.

Gut Health
A talk on the topic of well-being is “Gut Health = Whole Body Health”, led by Pascaline Phillips, on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Picton branch. All are welcome to attend and learn about foods and how they impact your digestive system, emotions, liver, joint health and brain.

After School Book Lovers Club
Starts Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. Wellington Branch Library. Celebrate the magic of a good book. Perfect for avid readers and anyone who wants an extra literacy activity.

DIY Journals
Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. Wellington Branch Library Ages 7+. Make a journal or sketchbook from scratch.

Candle Making
Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. Picton Branch Library Join us for a fun hour of candle making. Choose your scents and colours. Candles will be picked up at a later date once they are cured.
