Two agencies are without executive directors as Stephanie MacLaren departs for Haliburton at month end.
The Prince Edward Family Health Team announced MacLaren’s departure of Friday. She joined the PEFH team in July 2013. MacLaren has also been serving as interim executive director with Hospice Prince Edward since July of this year.
“My time with the Prince Edward Family Health Team has been the most memorable and professionally rewarding experience of my career,” said MacLaren. “It is rare to have the opportunity to work in an organization that is as forward thinking, innovative and leaderful as PEFHT. I have enjoyed my time here immensely.”
“PEFHT has been very fortunate to have Stephanie MacLaren as our executive director,” said Dr. Helen Cluett, PEFHT president. “Stephanie has taken us a long way in the years she has been ED, providing leadership for the development and delivery of our innovative programs. She leaves us well-equipped to respond to the rapidly evolving demands on primary care. As sad as we are to see her go, we are grateful for her time with us and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
“Hospice will miss her presence and expertise,” said Birgit Langwisch, president. “Nonetheless, we are carrying on — continuing to support our clients, patients and their families with palliative outreach and support in their homes and in the residential hospice.”
MacLaren stated she is leaving for personal reasons to be closer to family.
The PEFHT Board of Directors will be recruiting her replacement in the coming weeks.
