Man’s body found in Weller’s Bay

UPDATE Aug 12: Prince Edward County OPP report a post mortem indicated the Oshawa man’s death was consistent with drowning. Foul play is not involved.
Prince Edward County OPP officers are conducting an investigation into the death of a 69-year-old Oshawa man whose body was found in Weller’s Bay, Consecon Monday afternoon.
Reports of an unmanned boat circling in the bay were received at about 12:30 p.m. Emergency crews from the County were on the scene early this afternoon.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. the man’s body was located by other boaters.
Police say foul play is not suspected at this time.
