Military exercise at Mountain View includes convoy Thursday

Military personnel from 8 Wing and the Royal 22e Regiment will be participating in a training exercise in Mountain View from Sept. 25 to Oct. 7.
This exercise is being conducted to provide participating personnel with realistic training in a simulated humanitarian deployment in order to effectively operate and sustain a deployed operating base and further develop their capabilities in conducting modern air expeditionary operations to better serve Canadians.
As there will be military convoy Thursday, Sept. 29 between 10 a.m. and noon along Highway 2 East and Highway 62 South, motorists may wish to plan alternative routes.
The activities of military personnel and the movement of vehicles will not pose a significant disturbance to the community.
