The Ministry of Labour is continuing its investigation into a death on a Prince Edward County farm.
At 2:50pm Monday, Sept. 10 the owner of the farm and an employee were in the process of attaching a large water tank to a tractor when the attachment suddenly fell, trapping the employee between it and the tractor.
A 38yr-old-male, who resides in Mexico, but working in the County for the summer, was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased cannot be released pending notification of his next of kin.
The farmer tried to free the worker and emergency crews called to the scene were able to eventually separate the two pieces of equipment. Subsequent efforts to revive the employee were unsuccessful.
