Motorists to expect delays at Broad and Division; and on Bay Bridge

Inspections on the Norris Whitney Bridge (Bay Bridge) on Highway 62 south of Belleville are to begin Monday. Testing will result in single lane closures on the bridge, nightly, from 10pm-6am beginning Monday, Nov. 3 and ending Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Delays to the public are expected to be minimal.
Motorists are also warned of construction at the intersection of Broad and Division streets in Picton on Monday morning.
The water and wastewater department will be performing planned construction to repair the watermai. Work is to begin at 7 a.m. and should be complete by early afternoon.
Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair, and may result in minor traffic disruptions. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
The repairs are not expected to impact water quality. However, residents in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water.
The water is expected to remain safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the tap closest to the water meter once the repairs are complete.
