Nominate a champion of County heritage

The Prince Edward County Heritage Advisory Committee (PEHAC) is accepting applications for the 2020 Prince Edward County Heritage Awards.
The awards honour individuals who have contributed to the preservation and promotion of heritage in the County.
“It is important that we celebrate people in our community who go out of their way to champion our unique heritage,” said Mayor Steve Ferguson. “Through hard work and dedication, they are helping to preserve our identity and tell the story of our community for years to come.”
PEHAC will recognize heritage leaders in the following categories:
– Conservation of Built Heritage – For preservation, restoration or protection of built heritage in Prince Edward County
– Heritage Awareness and Advocacy – For outstanding contributions in public advocacy on behalf of heritage in Prince Edward County
– Preservation of Cultural Heritage Landscapes – For preservation or protection of cultural heritage landscapes in Prince Edward County
– Lifetime Achievement – For extensive commitment to the preservation and promotion of the cultural or built heritage of Prince Edward County
Nomination forms are available for download on the County’s website. Forms must be submitted by Jan. 17, 2020. Winners are to be announced in February 2020 as part of Flashback February Heritage Week.
