One new COVID-19 case confirmed in Central Hastings

One new positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed over the weekend.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reports a Central Hastings resident contracted the virus through close contact with an individual who resides outside of Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
The case was identified Aug. 15. The last case reported July 30 was a Quinte West resident who contacted the virus through travel. The last previous case was reported May 18.
