Part of Ontario Street closed Monday

The Water and Wastewater Department is working on emergency watermain repairs on Ontario Street between Grove Street and South Street in Picton.
Work is expected to be complete by 5 pm Monday, March 5.
Ontario Street will be temporarily closed between Grove Street and South Street for the duration of the repair (local traffic only). Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
Repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
