More than 200 vehicles motored into the Ameliasburgh Community Park to “have a blast reliving the past”.
The Prince Edward Auto Club hosted the 39th annual Southeastern Ontario Street Meet featuring camping, family events and entertainment and highlighted, of course, by the show vehicles themselves.
The not-for-profit organization was established in 1972 and raises funds for community causes such as Relay for Life, the food bank and for families in need.
In the special interest category, Bob and Marianne Bosma, of Ameliasburgh, shared their A&W collection – including the store display family and pedal cars. They’ve been collecting the bears and mugs for the past 20 years and the pedal cars for the last decade.
Jeremy, of Marysville, loves to drive his “Lil Vette” go-kart. Restored by Iain Gardiner, the vette is a late 1970s promo by Corvette dealers int he United States. It’s speed runs 20-30mph.
