PECI Panthers win first home game with shut-out

The PECI Girl’s hockey team won its first home game, beating the Nicholson Crusaders 9-0, Tuesday.
The game opened strong for the Panthers with Kim Pothier scoring within the first minute of the period. Moments later Chloe Marshall scored the the second goal for the Panthers, followed by notches from Brooke Jackson and Maddy Young to end the first period 4-0.
The Panthers never slowed down as they scored three more goals in the second period. Jackson scored two and Kendra Marion added one.
The third period didn’t disappoint as the Panthers put two more on the scoreboard. Jackson scored her fourth goal of the game, while Pothier scored her second. Recognition goes to Jackson with one assist, Marion with three assists, Pothier with one assist, Sydney Davies with two assists, Sarah Juby with one assist, Bella Cole with two assists and Hailey Snider with one assist. Recognition also goes to Panther’s goalie Maddy Rowbotham, who recorded her first shutout of the season.
After the holidays the Panther’s first game is set for Jan. 9th versus Bayside, in Trenton, at 3pm.
